When I started the school, I made a Pac with myself to not goof off and really work hard. lol the story of my life...I always messed it up.
For the most part, it has not been too difficult. I mean I get distracted easily and in past semesters I only study if it interests me at the time. This, in turn caused me to wait till last minute, which lead to a C, where it should have been an A, or fail when I could have passed.
But this year I seem to have this intensity, I haven't known before. I actually enjoy hitting the books, because it leads to a big fat A. Many classmates call me smart. They say I have everything together all the time and ask me to show them how. Half of the time I don't even know how. It like my brain capacity has changed. Yesterday I read a 250 page book in two hours and wrote a 10 page analytical paper (I used to have trouble breaking 3). Took the test today and aced it.
Don't get me wrong I work hard. This past weekend all I did was study and type. Some friends asked if I wanted to go see Audio A., but I had to turn them down because, I was already behind and if I went, probably wouldn't have finished my paper. I didn't even call Nicole...that's rare.
If I don't screw things up. I will have a 4.0 GPA and be talking with collages about scholarships.
I guess the reason why I wrote this was not to brag. I am just am so excited because I may have finally figured how to use this brain of mine. Many teachers's tried...and failed. Frustrated, they called me stupid, or lazy. When really all it was, is a different way of thinking.
I guess I want to thank God...because I can see him working. He created me, and designed me to work a certain way. This year he answered my prayers and helped me to work through this. Despite what "logic" wants to say, I really can't take any credit for the grades, other than listening to His coaching. The Lord is like that. If we ask, he actually teaches us stuff beyond the 10 Commandments. SO I just want to say thank you Lord. I could't have got this far without you.

lol I just got back from a weekend in Fredonia U. Along the way, I met a crazy lemur...and spent very little time with her...or was it the whole weekend? I can't tell. We went hiking, running, touring, napping, flirting, popcorn and so on and so forth.

It felt kind of weird begin in Nicole's world because usually she comes out here. I mean it was her turn to get us lost(which she did) and choose the menu. Therefore, at times I wondered how to plan things without knowing what to plan.

Over all, it was a very educational experience. I now understand where she gets her craziness from. Its actually a combination of Jessica, Kristin, Becca, and ALicia's "Muh Ha ha ha ha" rolled into one. I got absolutely no studying done for my midterm done but after touring Fredonia's Art Gallery, I relalize that I have so much to learn before I can call myself "good" at painting.

My favorite part of our time had to be it all, because it's all we did.

SO now I just got done with my children Literature Mid-Term. I think I squashed a -B but an A would be much better. Those questions were tricky. I'm too opinionated. I really don;t understand her, apparently I am not the only one. The church formal was on Tuesday and I knew she would be there so I wasn't going to go. MY friends really encouraged me just to have a great time...I DON'T DANCE...So I went an hour late I was introduced to a girl named Nichole, I asked her to dance...We talked for an hour...She invited me to another social event at her college......I couldn't get a ride , so I invited her to the movies instead. She smiled and said yes. I think I now have a girlfriend

Licence---Josh threatened to kidnap me . I was on my computer all day filling out job applications and creating my resume. I got a call in the middle of the day from a girl in yg asking if me and Rachel would like to go to the mall. At this point I am a little tired but say yes because I want to hang out and get to know the other young adults at church.

All find and good, but I was so involved in my work that I hardly a got anything to eat, causing my blood sugar level to drop real low (my body tends to burn sugar faster and therefore needs more food than normal).

Several hours later, Serina appears at our door. From the rush of things, I didn't
grab a bite , I didn't find my money, , but went with them anyways, because "I want to
have fun and make friends"

Me,Rachel and Serina get to the church parking where 4 guys and 3 girls are waiting. I knew them all from the fellowship, but not yet enough to feel comfortable. In fact, those who know me, know I don't do as well with large groups. I am more of a one on one person. So I already was feeling regretful.

We all pile into the two cars heading towards the mall. Despite my best efforts, I felt spacy and struggled conversing. In fact my voice was weak, and hardly heard, probably unintentionally ignored.

When we got to the mall my legs hurt from the cramped car. By the way I am going to see a doctor because I did something to both my knees a while back...They hurt like crazy to stand up or crouch. But I was determined to have fun

We walked around the mall but I felt inored. In back of me were the girls, who were all cool
, but were talking in a girlie language I knew nothing about. In front were the guys walking fast and talking about "stuff" I knew nothing about. I tried pulling up topics I could be in but my head was spinning and it was a puff of smok blowing out...nothing came beyond that.

. My legs were hurting even more and spacing out became prevelant. "W
hat ever you guys want, forget about my words, my thoughts!."

inside I just wanted yell out and go home but you tend not to do that when it would severely inconvenience those around you and I wasn't thinking about that anyhow. We were playing "seek and call" following their lead and I had hopes of finding the girls so I could be the hero. So I put on a half smile and kept trying to focus and be friendly

Finally around 9:30 its time for apple bees. After 9:00 you get appitizers half off. I was starved but depended on my sister who had all the money. Yet I just couldn't talk, my mind was blank and everyone started to look at me awkwardly . I mean normally I would be more engaging but I literally had nothing to say. And the night just seemed to go on forever.

Finally Luke asked if I was OK, "do I want to a walk or something" Sorry Luke, I appreciated you consern, which was really full hearted, but I had enough of that, I thought to myself" Then I said "No...Im....fine" Are you sure , we could take a drive or something"

SO I agreed and Tony actually drove me home. I sat for 15 minutes in the car while he said his good byes, no doubt making everyone wonder why I went home. Me, the depressed little maniac from PA, who doesn't know how to socialize.

WYomissing, I salute you for making me the way I am!!!!!

On the way home, Tony kept asking how I was getting into little conversations that warmed me up, but always seemed to end up how I was feeling. I wanted to spill my guts to Tony how left out I felt, how in need I am of deep friendships, but held it in. How do you tell a person that without becoming a pity friend?

Perhaps this wasn't a good mindset, because part of befing a true friend is transparency but it seemed logical at the time.

They are good, caring people who I have liked and see friendship in but something happened tonight that shacked me.

So in conclution. I like to write and need a good night sleep. Life is good here, but I had a bad day.

my life has been boring, so I havnt really posted.

I did go to a new years eve party and met a cute girl who I may ask out...but shhh.

well I arrived safe

Well I arrived safely to my new home in East Aurora, NY. Probably the first shock was putting my feet down in four inches of snow then seeing it snow MORE. I forgot what winter was like here. Instantly, I rushed inside to warm up before pulverized my little brother with snow balls.
that night our family sat as a whole around the dinner table, chatting up and eating buffalo style pizza and wings.

The apartment we live in is smaller and much older than my previous home. There is only two bedrooms, one bathroom, and no cable/phone hook up in my room. But I really like the old shelter. Don't ask me why...I don't know. Maybe its because I lived in a very degraded Reading row home for the last few week or my stay in berks county, so now anything looks nice. But it feels homey.

The room I am sharing with my brothers is smaller too, but I love it. Before we moved in the youth pastor lived there and painted it navy blue with white highlights around the door frame, windows etc. It seems made of me. Even with the peeling floor tiles.

It feels very awkward living in a new area because I don't know anyone here. The youth group is mostly junior high and there is no college fellowship. I feel...Lonely. It hard to make friends when there aren't many in the church your age, you don't have a job and school does not start up until Feb. I don't like the throught of all my friends being hundreds of miles away...

I feel as though GOd wants to have me become youth leader here...Eventually. BUt its kind of like looking at a box labeled youth leader, that's not ready to be unpacked yet. I've learned that timing according to God's will is everything...He wants me established and secure before I work with others who are insecure.

SO maybe its time that I make the first move to establish myself. Ideas run through my mind of staring a 18-25 bible study at my house...Kind of what I had in Reading. But I first need to scout the church and see what I have to work with here. Perhaps that leadership inside of me kick in and it will happen.

hmm...not a bad idea.. It gets me excited...

well there is always next year...

It is official, I am moving to Buffalo the weekend Decembers Club Worship. Life is getting crazy for me as I approach the the end of Reading street and make a left on to Buffalo.

A thousand questions, dreams and uncertainties are pulse through head right now.

...Government class, ECC, catching the bus in the freezing cold, choosing a major, paying of my CC, choosing a new college, affords college, saying good by to friends, jakes birthday party, Tuesday night Bible study, work, getting drivers license, talking with my dad, bacterial infection, Club Worship, winter Retreat, girls, girls girls, spirtual life, spiritual attacks, spiritual ministry, ZMYG, ZM, keep my art up, future living quarters, writing three term papers, big frostie mess my leader jacket...grr, dents on my new laptop, food, feeding the cat, maintaing Christian intergity, directions to take in my life...GOD HELP ME!

sometimes it feels like my head will explode, while others, I feel perfectly at peace. I mean these past few months have really been an eye opener on how much I have here. I have a great youth pastor and church family , tons of friends, a decent job, and some awesome things going for me. And how come I have to move right when there are pretty girls in my English class who have taken a likinkg to me? I have to hold my feeling on relationships until I get to Buffalo. But lets face it , I am not completly happy here either. I feel like I am going no where at RACC and will never get used to Berks county culture.

SO in concludion. Pray for me because...I am ready to slam my head into a wall and I don't think that will help get these three term papers done.

Well it has been a while since I have blogged (BY the way if you read my blog please leave
a question, comment, or statements of disgust. It helps motivate me to to post more often.)

I am still going to college and attending Zion Mennonite Youth group. But my mom lost her job so I will be moving around December =Sniff. And there was a series of drama in my fellowship. So yeah these past six months haven't been easy and it has forced me to trust God and appreciate what I have.

But I also have a lot of good things going for me too. First off I did end up failing that art course. It felt horrible, uninspired, and I serious doubted I my artistic ability. But the new teacher I had encouraged and allowed me to loosen up and just draw. I still don't like charcoal but it was it was right drawing again.

Right now I am taking a design course that is also really cool and I have more of a profolio now. By the way the community college in Buffalo has a strong art program so even if I don't become an art teacher I can still get an associates in graphic design or something before I transfer.

I got a new job working for the apartment complex I live in. Its nice because I can hand choose my hours and don't have to worry about gas prices. And the stuff I do for matience beats waiting on costumers at Burger Boys. I am officially done there!

This past Club Worship I had a great time! See my CW entry for details...

http://www.clubworship.org/blog/

OK my mind is starting to wander so I will end this bloc entry. Charcoal is nice when it comes to showing value but I can't seem to master it. Except for two, all my drawings look like a 10 year did them. Plus I have to take trips to a bunch of Art galleries....Yeah I would love to if I wasn't in a class or work when they are open! THe whole process of running around and paperwork took about 5 hours. BY the time I finished, it was past noon.

Later that day I went rock climbing with Jimmy. It had been a while since my last climb so I took at easy. Neither o us did too badly and we had a great time. We even conquered one of the easier 3d walls. It was cool hanging with him. I need to chill with my friends more often.

On my way home I also stopped at a computer store to check some prices. I am pretty sure that will go with the Athlon 64 3400+ HP Pavilion for college. For 679 dollars I get 160 GB of hard drive space, 512 RAM dual Layer DVD burner, 1600 system bus, and a 256 Nivida GeForce Grapics card. It isnt top of the line, but why pay 1,500 for a computer when next year it will be outdated?

CLub Worship rocked Saturday. I had a great time dancing, raming and miming(yes you heard correctly)and had a Cat randomilly jump in my lap while I was chiling in the lounge.

Tommarow I get up at 8 AM for Art and climbing
class. I love to draw so I am really excited.

BY the way recently I have been getting some friendly reminders to update my blog. It hard to update if I don't know who reads it so if you visit my blog please leave a comment.

Been a while since I posted

Well my blogger friends it has most denfinitly been a while since my last post. \Between school and now working full time its hard to find time to blog.

So here is what I have been up to lately...

First off the semester ended for school about 2 weeks ago. Largely due to several computer failures and a series of unfortunate events I ended with a C in English and history. I told my mom and she wasn't too happy. I guess I am ultimately the one to blame because if I hadn't procrastinated in the first place, those "prolbems" that occurred wouldn't have severely effected me...but its still frustrating.

for the past 2 months MY faith hasn't been as good it it could be either. I am not doing the kind of prayer I should/did, my attendance has been poor at church and youth group and I have been skipping moring devotions. Its interesting how backsliding works. It slitters its veom into your walk with God you walk and wraps you up in the coils of sin. . Its not until your life starts to crash or you look back to a more Godly time that you see how much you have spiritually sunk.

Right now I am reflecting on my Christian predicament and seeking GOd for a way out. Jesus is unveiling the roots of my shortcomings and having me make moderately difficult choices of discipline. I wouldn't mind some prayer.

On the better side of things...

I am getting a new computer!! I can't wait.

I could write more about all the good and bad things that have happened these past few months but its 11:30 and I work in the morning so maybe some other time.

Stuff

Well I just got back from a weekend at the old fashoned Del Grocos Amusment Park. It was a fairly good time...although I may be getting to old for some of the rides there. What used to give me a thrill doesnt even make me blink.

He he my I love my little brothers. Throughout the day I got to spend some one on one with each of them. Nathaniel became petrafied anytime I sujjested going on a ride. Until I was some able to talk him into it and I think he is over his fears.

Jonathan...was the opposite...right after I ATE he begged and me to go with him on the dragon. I eventually gave in and was luvky I didnt spew.

I am reading an intresting book right now intitled "Revolution in World Missions". Its written by founder and missionary of Gospel for Asia...a ministry that brings the truth to that continent. It really is making me think about where my values are placed.

College is going fairly good. SOmetime si give into the temptation of waiting til las minute, but so far my grades are solid.

Club Worship/youth group elections/RACC Registration

Club Worship was this past weekend. I couldn't do crew(for the most part) due to some family responsibilities, but interceded. Me and Deanna hung out for a bit during my break and grabbed some hard Bean Coco...yumms. I also got into some worship grove dancing for the Lord. It always is a joy going there meeting new people, and hanging with friends.

After CW my mom picked us up in our new TOwn and Country Van. IT truly is a blessing because our old van was virtually falling apart but when we traded it we were able to get a much better car. I believe it has everything wired in except the kitchen sink. THe only prolbem now is, with the automatic doors, my brothers have yet another excuse to be lazy.

Sunday I went to church and its annual picnic. Then, later that night, was office elections(youth group). I was voted in as a senator. Kind of hoping for student administrator but it is probably better this way and who knows how busy I will be this year with college and work. God was probably giving me a blessing.I am not sure how I will serve God through it but it will certainly be interesting.

TOday I took my placement test, registered for my courses and set up payment plans at RACC. I start edumacating Monday with the tri-semester courses of American History, Basic COllege Math(die math die) and English Composition. I am feeling and excited about starting college with a touch of mild apprehension. The campus is pretty nice and I have a few friends already going. Even made a new one today.

Funny Story...

When I was about to take the placement. test I asked a teacher if I could have a table seat (due to my I need for more than an square of deskspace to write). A girl sweetly spoke up saying "you can have my seat and we switched. I was wondering "why would she do that kind of thing especially considering she later switched due to unconforabilty(someone left hence leaving a spot vacant). After the test I go to her to say thankyou we get talking(school, intended majors, etc) and it turns out she is a committed CHristian. I sort of sensed that and it was funny how we both were figuring it out at the same time(in an round about way). The big hint for her came when I pulled out a Frank Peretti Book and for me when she mentioned going down to Texas for a ministry internship. She also plans on majoring in Education like me.

Anyhow it was cool to find a sister in Christ. It also goes to show how our actions tend to portray our faith.

the irony of anpitome

Current state of mind: apprehensive, indignant, confused,

Sunday I went to youth group. Need to catch up on school, work and personal spiritual charge.

Although it stinks that I don't have a ride and wont be seeing Alex as much I fell he made the right decition. SO going the Sunday morning was a little out of the ordinary)

Lots of falmillar faces. Mingled with
many of them including Jammie, a former youth leader at Zion...It was good seeing him again, and Pastor Steve

the worship was good and it was interstice hearing some of the stuff from the Kentucky trip. I said a little about what GOd has been doing in my life(the rightness call) to the congregation.

After church Alex drove me to work(GOd BLes you Alex) where I served 120 people food
. Uhh how I hate grill but I discovered one of the perks today(you get to customize your own food when you eat).

THat evening (after degreasarising myself) I chilled at Zion for youth group. We played this
ultimate Frisbee game with water balloons. My team totally killed even when we were out numbered and lost Victor. Deanna I will say played very good defense. Oh and I invented a new game. Fan vollyball. Its where you sit around a fanblowing up and volly a beach ball in a circle. THe pressure from the fan spins the ball into random places and the goal is top not let it hit the ground or out of the circle. It entertained for about 10 minutes.

We then went inside for a time of extended worship and prayer. I only wish it could have been longer.

Well as usual I am posting late at night and due to fatigue will be ending this entry......

Beaver Camp: a place to grow

Dear bloggers,

This past week I was at Beaver Camp for my 10th and last year as a camper. I was felling a little out of place at first with all the new faces but after that first day of fellowship and night of worship that quickly changed.

My cabin had to be one of the most unique and diverse ones I have ever seen consisting of a goofy EMO, who could pick his nose with his tongue, a rambunctious yet fun kid named who eventually became my best friend there, "the follower", an observer who incites paranoia whenever he is around because you cant figure out what's going on in his walled off brain, me the "intellectual" and unofficial leader (Eric's words not mine), and two kids with some kind of Mental disability(they were cool).

There is so much God showed me and I did that I cant possibly record it all but the highlights include: camping on a big rock, several spiritual sessions, kiyacking, making a duck tape wallet and learning the art of creating a tie, playing volleyball, conquering the pamper puller on the challenge course(a shaky big poll you climb and stand up un then jump off trying to grab a bar swing), directing a commercial on Axe deodorant, getting lost in the forest, cannoeing up river, deep intimate worship and thought provoking sermons from Nick(first camp consoler I had and now a church pastor).

Oh did I mention a new use we discovered for my deodorant, it makes a really good blow torch. No longer will I need to worry about starting a camp fire.

When I say thought provoking I mean Nick is the first evangelical pastor I've who firmly stated our need to live for Christ in addition to having faith in Jesus as his center message. Many times you will hear it but I don't feel it is stressed enough to an saved audience.

Living a life in perused of rightousness is a concept God keeps reminding me of through various sources and its beginning to become more vivid as to why.

Considering the amount of depth to my week this is a very short post. But, I am tired and feeling very lazy right now so if you want more details feel free to ask.

Been a while since I blogged

Hola,

For those of you who prayed for my family , I thank you. Despite the circumstances, the trip to New York for Grandpa's funeral was fairly pleasant. I said a Uligly(which according to everyone was beautiful and inspired) and met some extended family and friends I haven't seen in a while or never met. I got to say it is going to be very weird not seeing grandpa during Christmas and Easter but I take joy in knowing he was saved(last minute) and it wont be the last time we see each other. I wonder if we will eat in heaven? Gramps makes the best apple sauce and turkey.

I am still working at Mc DOnalds. The same aliens that abducted Mel also got me. But since I to tricked them into eating "earth food" aka Mc DOnalds, their heads exploded. apparently, we aren't the only ones not made for large quanties of sodium.

So anyways, here is what I have been up to lately:

Friday night was our youth pool party. I usually don't swim but since this was Zion I decided to get wet. In the pool we played water volley ball. My team rocked the house but then it started to rain so we had to go inside. It was all good because we played bam uno and spoons.

THe next day I decided to take my brother hiking through the Wyomissing trails. About half way through we stopped and he discovered this new skinny trail that went through the forest...Completely covered up! I could walk the park system in my sleep but this one I had never seen before so it was truly an adventure. I think I will go there when I want to be alone or read.

Walking back to my house sweatly and ful of dirt I get ambushed by Josh Kairsie and Deanna for a corn field raid. My little begged to go but I had visions of him getting lost and I had to tell the little guy no. So all of us heads to Deanna's, play hide go seek in a corn field. Gosh those mysquitos were biting...I have a least 12 bites. Josh passed me at least 2 times but didn't see anyone and finally gave up. while kair was more stubborn in seeking so she found me(but I wanted to be found so I made many noised purposely). After Corn seeking, we ate and played BAM UNO. It was intense, unlike at the pool party, the way it was designed to be so it was fun. After almost tearing down the hose we, changed a church sign and walked through a grave yard and old country road. I enjoy walking so it rocked. However telling even a few scary stories wasn't the best idea and I think our minds started playing tricks on us.

Sunday marning I went to Church and then to the Linckon for lunch in honor of our leaving pastor. Later in the day I traveled to Zion for youth group and prayer group oritation. Its official I am going to be a prayer group leader but I am still wondering about runnig for the student leadership team.

Monday and today I worked at MD's. It was tough learing the ropes because they put me in the
drive through to train(those of you who do that kind of thing know what I am talking about), but I think I got the hang of the computer system and menu today because I did at least 50 orders. I
am getting a long very well with my co workers but none of them are actual Christian so it kind of stinks.

Well I need to get going...see everyone later.

that's a saying I may have to get used to. Yesterday was my orientation. Its where you take a tour of the store, fill out employee paperwork, get the low down on all the rules and regulations, and watch a bunch of brain numbing videos. Not that I am complaining because I wanted a job and got paid for my time there.

Funny how the exact day I have it, Wendys calls me and ask if I am still interested in them . I said yes because I know I left a good impression during my first interview and they may pay more than MD's. However if they don't offer me something better I am sticking to their competitor. I have a call back this Saturday.

I hate to say this, but my fellow job seekers at Mc Donalds were not the most work inclined people. During the orientation they constantly yelled out stuff like "man Im hungry" "what's this job pay...sphh...I'm tired!!!" and the infamous "are there lots of them fine ladys come here?". I will give them this...Their speech was very articulate. The manager half laughed, but I wonder how long some will hold a paycheck.

After the orientation I walked down to Barnes and Noble. About a year ago, I only read when it was mandatory for school. But ever since 12th grade English and the discovery of Frank Peretti, it became a hobby. When I arrived I dived into a Sherlock Homes mystery...very good and only $ 5. Last night I also went fire fly hunting with my little brother. There weren't as many out ( due to the rain) but we had fun. He named the biggest one "Dud" and wanted to keep it as a pet. Of course we let it go in the end, but the two had an hour of bug to kid time.

Oh, by the way, if my manager understood me correctly, I can go on the Kentucky trip(I will double check that though) luckily we also did normal worship and with a message and prayer time with Ruthy. She used a Max L. story to illustrate why God gave us free will and how every sinful action we do has its concenquesnces. IT was very thought provoking, but since this is a public blog, I will keep the details to myself. My compliments to the chef. Sorta an interesting drive up. Right before I left the house there was this pitch black storm that left as fast as it came. Then as we were eating it started picking up again. I got to say, between the traffic, curves and road prayer was a constant theme. After dinner I learned the game ROOK. A fun game. But I got to say the highlight of the evening was hunting the wild Chickens (inside joke).

Guys I would greatly appreciate prayer on getting a job. Between D&H screwing me over this summer(see past blog for details), miscommications, and my family vacation/camp coming up in August I am really scared about it. I really need the money for college and recreational expenses. Usually its Sunday but not in this case. I ran a few miles, did CLub Worship Set up, troubleshooted a sassy computer, lugged heavy Sunday school materials up and down the stars at my church, Danced, tore down Club Worship, headed over to the West Reading Diner for a much deserved milkshake, then went to sleep around two waking up at Church at 6 AM. Guess who couldn't go to the Zion Picnic thanks to a non existent sound duty at his church. That bumbs me out. But hey I finally got my Ardent Worship CD from Jose so its not all bad.

So how was CLub Worship? Very good..Especially the last three songs. Angus Dei rocks! I got to talk to some new people and catch up on the familiar faces. Sometime it would be cool to have a longer Club Worship. You never know who might pop up. For example Daniel came and did crew. I also had the chance to talk to this one person from Philadelphia. I had seen and spoke with him a few times before. You know someone accused him of being some kind of mysterious, demonic, crack head doing something weird to a friend of mine several CW back. I don't know what's true...But if you ask me; the guy was gothic and probably carried baggage (like all of us), but far from some what that person was getting at.

Some Christians are too relaxed about spiritual things or don't understand the dangers of it...While others(mainly those who experience strong spiritual growth but haven't yet learned to be humble and or wait on God) get "too discerning" or do it just to sound/look all powerful adding to their hall of fame. Then they go talk about it with their friends, (for the sake of prayer or course) and end up only hurting themselves and that person....Not helping then. I feel it perverts the solid foundation of "two or more gathered in His name" and "love one another as I have loved you". We need to keep each other in check and share the good news but first seek wisdom/direction from God.

Anywho I am very tired so its time to Zzz. I hope the picnic was fun.

*Oh and Karisie Ashley says hi and bye because she is leaving for BASIC on Wedsday.

.

My room is immaculate

My room is Immaculate. While running I kept hearing this "croo" coming closer and closer. I wondered to myself "what the heck?". Turning around the thing barely misses my head. I kept running. Then hoping from branch to branch it only moved when my head is turned away. Apparently I must have gotten too close to a nest. The weird part is when I said "Lord I pray for protection"...It just stopped and stared at me. Its like a scene out of a horror film. However, unlike those pinheads in the movies...I got Jesus. You rock God.

On the bright side, my little bro randomly said "Aaron, you are the best big brother ever". Didn't even do anything...He just wanted to say that. Those of you that have and little brothers, its very heart warming to hear..Especially when you try to love those you care about.

Oh, by the way...My disclaimer keeps on switching back to the original one sentence I wrote when I first started this blog. If you can tell me how to stop that and or post links to other blogs I would greatly appreciate it. Golf

Yesterday I had another job interview(this time Wendy's). I was a little nervous because, thanks to traffic, I nearly didn't make it on time.

While waiting for the manager I sat down and prayed. "Lord, you helped me at the interview yesterday to answer the questions I pray it is the same today if not better". Why I was so excited over a burger boy interview I don't know. But with good eye contact and a cofident voice, I eased through those 40 questions(you know the kind that determine your personality, work ethic and if you lie).

Afterwards, the manager said that out of the 100 interviews she has done, she hasn't seen anyone answer them as well nor as educated as me. She will be recommending me for hire to the big cheese(who has the final say on everything). It just goes to show me how God hears and cares about my prayers, and eventhough I want to take credit for the great answers I gave, I knew the Holy Spirt was at work.

After the interview I chilled at Barnes and Noble and then went miniature golfing with my little brother. He is like a golf-machine...he even got a hole in one. Pretty good for a ten year old.

--Aaron--

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://aarons_world.blogspot.com/2004/06/wendys-interview-and-min-golf.html' title='Wendys interview and min. Nothing has changed(besides the disclaimer) but for some reason I still fell like a kid with a new toy.

Today I had my interview at MD's(thanks to the nice man in construction). It was a pleasant interview and I got the job. I have orientation July 11th so until then I am still bored at home...Yah. Luckily that gives me the days off I need to go with my bud to Canada and be lazy. I will also be chilling Jimmy today. Both of us enjoy basketball so it should be fun.

That reminds me I better get my lazy but running other wise I won't have time today.

Later,
--Aaron--

weekend/club worship post

Club worship was OK but def. not my favorite. I am not completely sure what was up with me that night but I wasn't into talking with people as usual. I had the motor energy of a turtle...turtle turtle. I met this one girl named Marie. She is a "Christian" half Jew like me. Pretty cool(I almost could tell instantly when I saw her nose...oops did I say that put loud...I actually for some odd reason find the attractive...probably due to my blood). After getting to know her, I chilled with Alicia( a friend from youth group). She also had the energy of a turtle but I gave my frosty to her and she perked up a little.

Wrestling with Josh was a little bit of a mistake. We are a pretty decent match( he is stronger and heavier but I have more stamna and stubborn will power). Because our showdown took place on a scratchy carpet my knee got torn up...ouch. Its still healing.

Later I talked to who was really hard...Kairsie. I knew that it wouldn't be good if I dated her(after alot of praying, thought and input from others)yet at the same time I didn't totally want to tell her this. Actually it made it a little easier because she came up to me. Remind me to not to tell Alex anything having to do with Kair because she reads him like a book. But I told her and, although she was hurt, she she appreciated the honesty.

Sunday I went to church and youth group. When I got to Zion the kids were at the field playing a game and Alex franticly trying to get the music together. The worship was good and Jeff had some interesting things to say. I am still getting used to the prayer group change. Gabby is there so it shouldn't be all bad. But, I already miss Deanna, Jake, Rachel and Dave.

Recall: four weeks ago I was offered a construction job at D&H. I called about 2 weeks ago to make sure I still had it and it was confirmed. Well...Sunday afternoon I called again to double check the time I am supposed to come in the morning...my "boss" doesn't return the call. So I wake up at 6 AM(because he would be up due to his "construction business") only to find out he gave 2 other guys with more experience without telling me. I wasn't a "angry cat" on the phone but def. pissed! That was not only unprofessional but now I don't have a desperately needed summer job so I can pay for college! And come on it would take me two weeks tops to be trained. Monday and today I filled out 100,000,000,000,0000 applications(or at least it felt like it). Hopefully I will be employed somewhere. The day camp is looking pretty realistic and fun because I am an experienced consoler, love kids, and talked to the guy in charge.

Well that was my blog for the weekend and a little beyond. I will end in saying this: All bugs are insects but not all insects bugs...turtle turtle.

--Aaron--
